Chief Imaginaut

I’m the Chief Imaginaut and CEO of Mojo Interactive which empowers professional service providers and their customers through a relationship building platform of specialized Internet solutions. Prior to bootstrapping Mojo, I rode the dot com wave of the late 90s working interactive positions at trade associations before ending up in San Francisco as Director of Development for WomensForum.com.

With Mojo’s HQ in Orlando, I split my time on each coast, which gives me lots of travel time. It’s time I enjoy and allows me some quiet time to reflect and think. It’s my respite from the 140 character world.

Generally, I look to explore new ideas with those I meet and to stretch my boundaries in all areas of my life. That means I set lots of goals and spend a good deal of time talking to talented people about their passions.

I tap my inner child every time I dig into my comic books. Favorites include the Fantastic Four, Grendel and Iron Man.

I’ve made the trek to Burning Man the past six years = a source of endless imagination and another way to tap into that imaginaut child.

I’m an occasional speaker, recently speaking at the TEDActive conference on the value of finding space to escape and think in the always now, instant feedback, data streaming 140 character world we all live in. Additionally, I spoke at South By Southwest (SXSW) on using social media tools for workplace collaboration.

Previously, I spoke to my CEO Vistage group on how social media is changing how we manage our businesses and at The World Anti-Aging Congress on using social media tools, such as Twitter, for doctors to effectively engage with patients.

Attending conferences is a great way to meet amazing people, and I love the learning atmosphere. These conferences are top on my list: TEDActive, SXSW, Web 2.0 Summit, Dreamforce, Wisdom 2.0 Summit.
